I have the feeling that Algoriddim‘s main focus is currently on iPad and iPhone apps.
Today, the company announced their next-generation DJ solution for those devices including their partnership with Spotify.
With this latest release of djay 2.5 – a free update for all existing users of djay 2 – you get instant access to over 20 million songs from Spotify.
(Note: Spotify Premium is required – A free 7 day trial of Spotify Premium is available to all users of djay 2).

Personal Note
While I really like those changes and the integration with Spotify, I still hope that Algoriddim will soon update the desktop version. I still miss an overall preview option which is long overdue!

The quality of spotify in djay 2 isnt all that great, don’t know why but sounds bad compared to my own mp3’s. Works great though.
Chris Bossert says
You can define the sound quality in the Spotify settings. Have you tried that? (I haven’t myself in combination with djay 2)
