With their live performances, The Mint Julep Jazz Band has already left quite an impression in the Swing dance scene.
After the successful Kickstarter campaign to fund their first album we just had to wait until it will be released. The waiting came to an end and the result is a wonderful!
Durham On Saturday Night
The Mint Julep Jazz Band recreates – with a little big band lineup of 4 horns, rhythm section, and vocalist – the jazz sounds of the 1920s, 1930s, and early 1940s through arrangements based on original recordings from the jazz age and swing era.
Durham On Saturday Night includes 16 well chosen titles with various tempos. Some are well-known, some lesser-known.
It's a pure pleasure to listen to that fresh sound! There is so much joy of playing and I'm sure they had great fun in the studio while recording.
‘Nuff said. Buy this album!

Get It Southern Style
I have chosen Get It Southern Style because I wanted to feature a slower tune after the faster ones from the last few years.
This tune was written by Irving Mills and Henry Nemo. I recommend to pre-listen the song via the links below since the sound quality is much better and you hear much more nuances.
However but here is a clip from YouTube.
